About us
Sunny Hills Church of Christ is a medium sized church with a membership of about 300 and regular Sunday attendance of about 250 people. We are small enough so that you can get to know just about everyone, and big enough to do mighty works for God.
We have a strong children and youth program. There are classes for all ages on Sunday Morning. We have events and activities throughout the year.
We are a very mission oriented congregation. We have supported full time missionaries in Africa for 30 years, who are now teaching from Harding University to send more missionaries to Africa and other places around the world. We have a strong presence in China. We have supported numberous other short term mission works through out the world, including Mexico, Nicaragua, Veitnam and various countries through Africa. Our youth routinely go on short mission trips, both local and abroad.

History
We had our first official church meeting at Hill Crest Park in their recreational building in the Fall of 1958. It was called the West Fullerton Church of Christ. We had hired a full time minister, James Tolle. There was a good crowd the first day and we ran a notice in the Fullerton News Tribune. Many came that we did not expect to be there.

Of the original group that first met and are still attending Sunny Hills Church of Christ are:
Erma Sims, Rema Mitchell, Phyllis and Eugene Alderson, Joe and Mary Scroggins, Ray and Joan Lawyer, and Nancy (Lynch) Jacobs. Freda Fullerton came the first Sunday and we always consider her a charter member.
Later we bought the property on Euclid and built the original building there in 1964. Our name was changed at that time. We had met in many different buildings during the interim.
After 30 years we had a big celebration.
